Curt Wheeler is a graduate with high honors of the University of Florida, with a BSBA and real estate major. He holds the MAI designation of the Appraisal Institute, which was received in 1983 (and he is a 2nd-generation MAI).  He has a wide variety of experience throughout central Florida, with assignments ranging from Ocala to West Palm Beach and St. Petersburg to Cocoa Beach, with major emphasis being in interior central Florida, including Polk, Hillsborough, Pasco, Lake, Highlands, and Hardee Counties. Property types include offices, warehouses, mobile home parks, apartments, shopping centers, acreage (residential and agriculture), retail, and general commercial.  State of Florida license is State-certified general appraiser RZ 134.  He is a member of the board of directors of the West Coast Florida Chapter of the Appraisal Institute. Community activities include board memberships in Learning Resource Center and Imperial Symphony Orchestra, volunteer in Guardian Ad Litem program, school tutor, church involvement (including various volunteer positions in past years such as Sunday School teacher, mission participant, executive board member), member of Leadership Lakeland Class XIII, past PTA president, past eight-year membership in Lakeland South Rotary, past nine-year board membership YMCA, school mentor, and past co-president/board member of Lakeland Habitat for Humanity. Family includes wife Lea (D.M.D.) and children Jessica, Paige, Ashley, and Calvin.
